What is Sure Touch?
Sure Touch Visual Mapping System is a unique digital sensing device that assists a trained healthcare professional in screening for breast cancer, greatly increasing the chances of early diagnosis of breast cancer in women and men.

Is it safe to use?
The device has been cleared by US Food and Drug Administration and has been used since 2005. In just a short period of time Doctors and clinics around the world have chosen Sure Touch for their patients. Not only is it completely safe from radiation and pain free, all imaging is done in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Unlike a mammogram where the breast is squeezed and compressed, Sure Touch is a simple handheld device that is placed on the breast tissue. The image is then reflected on a small laptop computer screen in full 3 dimensional colours. Hopi Ear Candling

Hopi Ear Candling, or Thermo Auricular Therapy as it is also known, can be used to treat many conditions of the ear, nose and throat area.

The candles work by vapourising their ingredients once lit, causing convectional air flow towards the first chamber of the ear. The candle creates a mild suction which lets the vapours gently massage the eardrum and auditory canal. Once the candle is placed in the ear it forms a seal which enables wax and other impurities to be drawn out of the ear.

There is evidence of ear candling from all over the world, from Siberia, Asia and the native communities of North and South America.

It is the Hopi Indians of north-east Arizona that lend their name to the treatment. They used candles in medicinal ceremonies and initiations to clear negative energies from the head and aura.

What is a Hopi Ear Candle?

Ear candles are an ancient, mild and natural therapy and have been used by the Native American Indian for many years.

The Hopi candle is not a candle as such, but a hollow tube made out of cotton flax. To stiffen the flax, they are impregnated with extract of honey and herb oils (in particular chamomile, sage and St Johns wort), the healing properties of which have been known to the Hopi tribe for hundreds of years.

The making of the candles is a complex process and all genuine Hopi candles are made in the traditional manner.

The Treatment

What Conditions Can Ear Candles Help?

Ear candles can help with the treatment of sinusitis, rhinitis, earwax, earache and irritation of the ears including tinnitus. It is also suitable for the treatment of headaches and migraines. It is not suitable for those with perforated eardrums, where grommets are in place or those who may have an allergy to the ingredients. It is a safe and gentle treatment for children.

The number of treatments depends on how long the candle takes to burn down. Each treatment takes approximately 45 - 60 minutes and is very relaxing. It is advisable to put a few drops of warm olive oil in each ear for three days before treatment as this will help to soften the wax which will make it easier to remove. On the day of the treatment, you will be advised to remove all makeup and earrings.
